Editorial Policy
How Film M RC selects, produces, and discloses the content it publishes.
Editorial Content vs. Sponsored Content
Film M RC publishes two distinct types of content, kept clearly separated:
- Editorial content — Journal articles, Stories, and Techniques pages — is written and selected by the Film M RC editorial team based on general photography interest. It is not paid for by outside companies.
- Sponsored content ("Advertorial") is paid placement, published under
/advertorial/, and is clearly labeled "Advertorial" at the very top of the page, before any other content.
Accuracy & Standards
We aim to publish accurate, practically useful writing about photography and avoid unsupported claims, fabricated statistics, invented expert credentials, or sensationalized headlines.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an inaccuracy, please contact us with details. We review correction requests and update published content where warranted.
Photography Sourcing & Image Attribution
Photography used on Film M RC is sourced from Pexels under its applicable commercial-use license. We select images that are genuinely relevant to the accompanying content and avoid images that could be misleading or imply an endorsement that doesn't exist. Where a photograph depicts identifiable people, places, or third-party works, we take reasonable care in selection but do not claim exclusive rights beyond the platform's license terms.
Sponsored Content Disclosure
Every advertorial page includes a disclosure at the top of the page, before the headline and main content, stating that the page is "Advertorial" and contains sponsored content. Advertorial pages are visually distinct from editorial articles and are listed together in our sponsored content archive.
Third-Party Links
Where an article links to an external source, inclusion of that link does not imply endorsement of the linked site's content or practices.
Content Updates
Published articles may be updated for accuracy or clarity after publication. Material factual changes are reflected by updating the article where practical.
Author Attribution
Articles are currently published under a shared editorial byline while individual author profiles are established. Our author page reflects this and will be updated as individual attribution is added.
